Youtube Views vs Fun, Featured videos should be random videos

A lot of people have written about ways to get views; such as participating in contests, watching others’ videos, providing genuine comments, posting response to videos, leaving comments on channels and allowing people to share your videos and of course the easy one - you subscribe mine and I will subscribe yours as well as being creative and creating your own unique video. Not to forget the most important factor, the quality of your video.
But many fail to undertand why it is important not to look at views of videos. Rather look at the part called: Fun which apparently can only be found among us but not on youtube

If you enjoyed making a video, you sure had fun. Not all videos are born without something going in our minds. Love, passion, motivation, fun, creativity, or just spontaneous could be with us when we find and take the time to shoot, then bring it to our computer, do a little bit of movie making or editing stuffs, its all part of a work that does not pay us but we love doing it, don’t we? So my view is let us keep having fun, never look at views of our videos for a year! Then see what happens. After all its those spammers, and guys and girls with luck in their life get their videos featured and those tech savvy who work with youtube in front of their eyes 24/7 !

What is a good video to one may not be the same to another. So does the concept views of your videos should discourage you from making more. Absolutely not!

Youtube, and any other video sharing site for this matter, is about enjoying what you love and having fun with it and doing it. Sadly youtube promotes most viewed videos more than anyother videos, making almost 90% of its youtubers sad; left to be found, dumped like a trash, at least that’s how you would see when you visit youtube

So, its worth doing something else although we all agree that youtube should provide a section called random videos instead of featured videos. Would that make lot of people happy? Will that kill some spammers? While youtube might be considering those options or not, let us enjoy even if our videos have zero views! Let us enjoy what we did. Views will follow us or not! Cheers to all of us for having fun
