Whatspoppin?

I created this page to share what I am up to; like reading or blogging etc. I created the page title upon learning this from Southern sate of United States, It’s short and cute. I actually greet some of my friends with extended version, What’s whats poppin pimpin? or How U YALL Doin ? I love the accent. Now without talking too much. I will be adding, date and a brief on my major activity.

My PC:

HP PAVILION SLIMLINE  (it looks small yet sucks bad if you need to upgrade yourself)
1GB RAM, 250GB HD, 256MB Graphic Card, Camcorder Aiptek HD some sort, Microphone, Seagate External USB Hard Disk, Altec Lansing Speakers plugged in (Because this PC produces volume that only little rats can hear; lol), Windows VISTA Home Premium (Oh my lord, when will they have it fixed; don’t you just love to see the seight of VISTA every-where you go ? I mean; walmart, bestbuy, circuit city….. bla bla bla.. all for Microsoft and nothing for Apple. Doesn’t that make you wanna say something ? )

Software; I think they should be FREE. So I use FREE software. If you are looking for FREE but don’t come with virus, spyware, adware, here are some that I am using. All thanks to those hard working guys and communities who have helped people like me enjoy and get more out of my computer for paying nothing. If you have some money, you can donate to them.

1. Audacity
2. Paint.net
4. Openoffice (yeah, say good buy to MS OFFICE if you don’t have money or you don’t like their product. From my experience, this one does better)
5. Apache 2…
6. PHP 5.
7. MYSQL
8. Camstudio
9. FileZilla
10. VLC Player (Simple, fast and beats even the MS Media Player, and Plays all sorts of media files, You should try it. )
11. GSPOT (Great for finding in-details about any video)
12. SPYBOT Search and Destroy
13. Norton Anti-virus (Sorry, I had to renew subscription for this one, they pushed me this software; already installed on my PC. Long live the freedom of pushing software at us without our will!)
14. Google Toolbar
15. Firefox (Deleted all shortcuts of Internet Explorer, I hate it; slow and always vulnerable requiring frequent security updates more than any other browsers, made me sick literally!!)
16. QuickTime Pro (Just a few bucks the free QuickTime becomes a pro only to allow you to cut parts of a video, that’s it ? $40 or so for nothing more than being able to CUT. Wish apple allowed more tools. The good part is you get to see “EXPORT” which is great if you want to encode video in other formats like H.264)
17.  Google Earth. I think everyone who has a high-speed Internet connection should have this. Fly to places and see the world from many angles. I only wish that they made MS Flight Simulator Zero by incorporating gaming system into this software.
18. MS Flight Simulator 2004; now it runs like a crap on VISTA. (I love to climb and fly and often play when time prevails. One thing I have never been able to do is land in Kathmandu Airport. Very difficult for that last minute 1500ft vertical drop, dra* it, I always land somewhere else.)
