Take a Photo of Insurance Agent As They Take Photos to Access Damage
Apr 25, 2012 Tips
There are thousands of Insurance Agents working for a company. Not all have a A+ or even B ratings from Better Business Bureau. So, be careful when you pick an agent. They have their own stafffs and the boss who is suppose to file claims on your behalf may forget it; leaving your in trouble.
A lady living in North Carolina Recently reported that after proper works done on her Roof, Insurance agent’s worker came took photos and then left. If that was my house, if someone comes to my property and takes photos of my property, I would follow him or her with my own camcorder because when troubles come later that video could itself be proof that on a given time the inspection of work being done and Insurance Agent had inspected it is proved. So lucky, my friend did this and is happy about it.
After several months, a letter comes from the main Insurance saying that you have not yet provided that you have replaced the damaged areas, not provided what ? All those were done by local agent and there is a video of it also, and this was done way back. So what might have happen here ?
Most so called agents actually go on a vacation or what ? Try calling your insurance agent. Chances of talking to him or her is nearly impossible of course you will get to talk to the people who work there.
If this has happened to you, instead of calling, take all of your stuff including video or photos or any other things that proves that you have done it and filed it and your agent; obviously filed it to the wrong person or never filed on time or has yet to file ?
Don’t lose your insurance and never trust your Agent either. They make so much money, but take little care to improve the grading of their agent, for example, providing better service to get more customers or improve their ratings in Better Business Bureau.
So the lesson is there for you : Don’t trust your agent. He or She could be on a vacation. Your claims may have never been filed by him or her office. He/She might have come to your home and never thought you had taken videos and/or photos of her as she was inspecting it.
But video won’t lie.
If a problem comes, solve it, if you are not happy with an Agent, change your insurance. Also call the Better Business Bureau so you save troubles for future customers.
Don’t let anyone take your properties photo without taking their photo or video.
So it seems, having a camcorder helps in many situations, so buy one today, i.e. if you can.
