Youtube now has OPRAH and she has taken over the Youtube Editors, now all most new videos are talking about that. In september “Leave Britney Alone” became the most watched video whether it had a good ratings or not but it became every youtuber’s tongue. Here comes the Queen of TV Now!

There is nothing wrong making a celebrity become the editor to pick his or her videos to be featured on youtube, but how would you feel if the editor featured her own videos ?

Now, The next celebrity we need is some personalities as those running for American President like Hillary. Let her feature videos of her speech etc. Why not ?

While this might be an experiment for youtube to draw more visitors to the site or make money from Celebrity or turn the Feature thing to “YOU PAY WE FEATURE”, but it sure won’t be making a lot of people happy. More than 90% of the people in youtube are really left unnoticed. Many don’t get views, no comments nothing of their work.

As for me, I really don’t care whether my video gets featured or not or care any to know who the heck are those group of editors, or in this case just a single person, OPRAH. Let us have some laugh and fun. After all, not all featured videos are great and youtube don’t even clearly say how the videos are picked on what basis; to motivate new comers to do better ? (I doubt that!), to have more partners to make money, or to sack the editors to reduce over-head costs ?

If this continues, why not have Bill Gates as the editor featuring all Windows and Vista videos. We would love to see that as well.

Videos Talking about her Role in youtube and/or videos showing users are happy or unhappy with her selection of featured videos.

This will surely help youtube get lots of users who perhaps don’t know about youtube but know Oprah. And it would be wrong to assume that even celebrities might one day be the editors of youtube selecting their own videos.

A friend of mine asked me about youtube and I told him this is a site that takes everyone equal. I now understand why he was laughing. He said, “Wait what happens as more and more partners come in, all you lousy mini users with fuzzy videos and videos from Cheap camcorders and with subscribers less than the fingers in your hands will soon resort to other video sharing sites. Youtube was good when it started, now its all about making money and making more.” I don’t know if that person is right or wrong, I still love youtube because I can upload my videos for free! So what more should you expect whether Oprah features her own videos or tomorrow some super star bloke featuring his dogs and houses or even his $$$$$$$$$$$$$ Personal Jet ? ” Who cares ?

Just a thought why we can’t add comment on her channel, nor does she show friends, her subscribers, etc. Why not ?

Youtube is not just about showing your work, its also about promoting your business. A rumor says that Youtube is 100% sure that Dr.Phill, Tyra and many other shows are in the pipeline as Partners so it will soon become not youtube but PartnerTube. And as for us, we might live there far far away from the Partnertube world!
