How do they shoot films during extreme hot weather ?
I don’t think they do. I mean its 98F and you want to shoot. You got enough light, you might not need extra lighting equipment!
If they do shoot, they probably have a truck load of ice bags or a mobile home with air conditioner on! And they are shooting….
- Take one, action. Cut! Now go inside and come back in five minutes. Actor shows up after five minutes.
- Take two, action. Cut!! You, makeup artist, go wipe those sweats and redo the face again. We can not have any sweats in this scene. Director waits outside. Actor reappears.
- Take three, action. Cut! No, this scene does not require you holding a glass. Drink fast, drop that glass. Come on! Lets do it guys! Take four, action.
- …. Can someone please call an ambulance, i think the director has passed out!
The end!
My question, how do they shoot those scenes where the weather is so extreme? Inside a comfortable room?
