I asked this question to a customer who worked as a Systems Administrator for a very long time and she replied with this answer:

The Economy today is backward.
If we had more demand for Graphic Cards, their price would be down. Since only a handful of gamers and other so called EXTREME video editors buy graphic memory cards, the company will only mame money by jacking up the price.

I still don't get it though. How can a company be allowed to Jackup the price even the Demand is less. I think it's about time that Graphic Cards should cost less so even ordinary people can do extraordinary things.

Shame on Graphic Card Builders and those who are completely ignoring this case.

This has been the dilemma of the PC gamers since.

I did have to save money and buy a 6600gt for almost $200. Now i can buy a 8600GT for just under $100.

But still, The new games require more power. With the upcoming GTX 260, it will still be on the enthusiast market that can enjoy 60fps on all games except crisis.

Put The Message Where It Matters!
