I’ve been using Iphone since they came out and I love apps; for they are cheaper, easy to download and start using. Games ? They cost fraction of price for other devices such as XBOX or PC or PSP 3000, you name it!

Once you keep on buying games, after your careful research such as reading  reviews, ratings etc, you will always find one thing in common for many of the Apps out there, and Apple proudly says something similar like this, “WE HAVE MORE APPS THAN ANYONE ELSE” – okay, that might  be the case, but how many makers are actually making the value of user’s hard earned money useful. Not much if you ask me. Many of the makers, simply wait for a year to pass by before they do anything with the old version of the game, although the old one could still be making money for them. It’s not a marketing practice to not provide update to older products, rather push selling new ones, but we can term this as “RIP OFF” – Give them something for cheap for now, and simply ignore them for the the rest of the year and when the year goes by, we will tweak this or that and perhaps bringout a new App and sell that one while still carrying the old Apps; simply to trap those who don’t do much research and find them self in the net of money-hungry app makers.

Let me put two big makers, so all those others can relax for a while. Electronic Arts, (EA) and Gameloft are two players in the App market for Iphone 4 and Ipod touch and also port their games for other phones run by Android Operating System. What these two companies do; ignore the old version, forget about it, even if old versions are used by many out there, simply ignore those people, for we will give them a new version and perhaps make it free outside and inside, put something like In App Purchase even just to play a game, take the Real Soccer 2012, the game is well better than earlier version, but here, gameloft has made a soccer game which could cost you as much as 100 dollar by the end of the year if you keep on buying in app purchase. It’s not only GAMELOFT here, FIFA 12 by EA does something similar too. At a look at the Manager mode here, they will have such a louzy IA, that you will want to buy coins (In App Purchase) even if you play very well at the level of Professional or Legend. Is App Store all about making sure that you get constant money from users, or give them a free App and put them in a hook ? Long time ago, Apps in Appstore rarely carried anything like in App Purchase, so when you paid for a game, you were done. You had nothing to worry about. Now, it seems, the only way Apple and it’s developers is to make money is to bombard users with this loop-hole, a tricky backdoor where a kid who is using dad’s iphone could actually make a dad bankrupt for a day if the kid knows how to purcahse In-app. If you think I am lying, there are In Apps for as much as one Hunred Dollar. Would that not be enough to buy two games for your XBOX or PLAYSTATION ?

If apple makes In-App Purchase as the only way to make more out of users, it might take users away from this market and you will probably see less and less apps in Iphone or Ipad. If you think  users won’t buy a good game for $10 and then they don’t have to pay nothing, you are wrong. Apple Needs to Remove what’s called “TOP GROSSING” Chart and replace it by “TOP MOST FREQUENT UPDATE”. Only pleasing developers, making them happy, earning lots of money from users who really don’t have to pay, is called a loop whole and those who haven’t protected their devices, Please be warned. It’s impossible to get any refunds and once you purchase In-Apps type, you are doomed.

Some makers like EA, sold bunches of the popular golf game Tiger Wood PGA 2012, for a cost. Now, it went free for a while. Inside the game, there is more screens for shopping this or that than actually giving users simulation. Did you find those crowds sleeping on the hill while you are waving at them ?

In-App Purchase is done for two reasons:

• Makers want to make sure they can drain the user’s bank account as much as they can
• Want to remain in the Top Grossing Chart
• Want to battle with another similar game who might be even better, but is not listed on the Top Grossing.

So, as a user, what should you do ? Simply ignore the top-grossing, and download games wisely. You can protect the ability to spend extra money by blocking In App Purchase on your device. Tips to help you get a game that won’t cost legs and arms :

• Check prices, as they used to say, “There is no Free thing in America”, It’s probably True. Read reviews and see if anyone has disliked it. Also read at the blogs or web about the App you are about to buy.
• Not all Paid Apps carry In-App Purchase, so check reviews to see which one does not.
• Don’t bother giving your hard earned money just to play a single match with your 0.99 every day. Can you add how much that would be by the end of a year ? With that much, you could actually get a brand new laptop.
• Don’t ever click “TOP Grossing Chart” – I find it ridiculous to see this chart. To user it means, the apps that are making more money. Many are free. So think of yourself ? Why would they be there ? Because there are probably bunches of coins hanging inside the App for you to click and sure, you will be spending–at times perhaps accidentally. Sorry, there are no refunds as I am told.

Hope this much helps. Buy games knowing what it has inside. Tell Apple that when you have bought a game, and later if it goes free as an update or something, you should be able to get your money back. Also, just because everyone is going crazy, doesn’t mean there aren’t other markets. In fact, you might love Google’s Android Market. Have a look at it there.

Apple might be the most selling or having Apps, but not all Apps are worth downloading, you and I know that, but often we forget.

Hope Apple puts  a limit on In-App Purchase so consumers are benefited, otherwise, the history of In-App might hurt Apple all together.

Well, what should I know more, Forget about me.
There should not be a limit on how much a user can spend. I think future apps in App Store might have In App Purchase as much as a thousand dollar – I don’t think I am dreaming while typing this.

I played, had a weeks of gaming enjoyment. The only thing I kept playing more was Temple Run although I used to keep myself busy with FIFA 12, NFL 12 as my gaming tends to towards sports and simulation type. Sure enough I kept playing X-Plane-4g-HDEF  or something like that which is a flight simulator that just blows your mind a way with realistic physics and tons of areas to fly and planes to chose.

I deleted the Temple Run then I reinstalled and I am again hooked. I deleted because a friend of mine told me I was kid. I thought the game was for kids and it proved me wrong when I tried the next time. It actually taught me that being happy and enjoying your life, perhaps sometime you need to be a kid. If your grandma or grandpa is playing this game, there is a reason why ? It’s fun – it makes you giggle. Are you stressed? It can actually give you relief at times. Enough said. There are probably thousands of pages out there with great reviews about this game.

Temple Run, has remained in Apple’s AppStore’s chart as #1 free game for 3 months now. It is not only because the game is simply and addictive, but it’s because of well over 400K reviews and ratings from everyone around the world who have enjoyed this game. Do I need to mention, how many downloads are there? OMG!

I know a game wins many hearts if controls are easy, objectives are simple yet challenging and repetitive game doesn’t mean it will be boring. Temple Run Rules because it’s simple in design and simple in game play. I bet you have already played and it perhaps landed here thinking if this post could offer anything useful. So, let’s get right to the point.

Help me, I want to upgrade the top 5 power-ups any idea which sequence would give me more coins ?

First–If you love the game, and you are not broke, in app purchase of $9.99 will give you enough coins to upgrade many of the top five power-ups and as you play you will enjoy the thought of “Bread and Butter For Developers who created your game, which is free for everyone and proving to us that a game could be for all ages yet highly addictive, fun, simple and it could be with us for a very long time. Time seems to fly by; with many games this is true, but with Temple Run, it’s 100% true. So, if you are wanting to play without spending a single dollar, here is how you can get more coins:

• Upgrade the COIN VALUES BAR FULLY
• Upgrade the BOOST halfway while upgrading MEGA COIN
• For other power ups, upgrade as you please, but keep in mind, more coins are on your path so go as far as you can – and even coins value triple is you can go beyond 2000M. Upgrade INVISIBILITY AND MAGNET power-ups  as you like because both have their advantage.

• Another tip? • More Temple Maps, and I would love to see those monkey eat a banana or a banana trees somewhere, and more monkey eating banana somewhere and perhaps they throw some of the banna on the road so you actually slip to be caught by monkey behind you! I have not seen a single update, because the game as it is enough to please so many users, as of this date of writing, Temple Run has well over 400K ratings and reviews. Head to your App Store, Download and give it a try.
• Play game as it was designed to be played; go the distance; how far can you go ? — this actually helps you get a better score as your final score is related to coins collected and the distance you have ran.
• Try to beat other scores in global arena.
• Once all upgrades are done. Don’t think of yourself. Ok. I am done with this game. What should I do? The answer is – you are never done. Try using Single use power-ups such as boost to 2500M with your coin or resurrect with only 250 coins as single use power-ups. Remember the resurrect is 30 second; meaning if you double tap it and you have the wings that of an angel, you got 30 seconds for another life. The only reason you would want to use this is to practice, but for, best results, go as far as you can and when you know turning right and left is going to bring a death, then double tap it so you can be sure, you can be resurredcted and perhaps bit everyone else ? who knows ?
• A teenager about 15 years old, gives his phone to a friend to let him play. I thought this was a great idea. Suppose you are busy with your homework, give to your sister to play. She will be collecting coins for you, how about that?
• Before hitting that upgrade power-ups, see how much money you have. It’s our human nature to see low when coins suddenly drop to zero. I recommend that you can still have about two to three thousand coins even after hitting the top five upgrades, that way you will always feel like you still have coins and a few run would be enough to upgrade more. Motivating yourself this way can help.

Some serious questions but funny answers:

• On average, how long will it take me to finish all top five power-ups? : The answer is how you have done your upgrade and luck of the Mega Coins and how good you have become going the distance – are you able to reach 3000M ? You are probably not even reading this article. Try to keep your finger as close to the screen as possible and focus not on the character, but what’s ahead and swipe right or left to turn. The common mistake beginners make is to tilt their phone right or left hoping the character would move into that direction. Swipe is needed for this although, during run, you can move from the center to right or left on a single path just by titling your phone. Play for a week for about 2 hours a day, you will have enough coins to upgrade all top power-ups. That’s it.
• I am done with this game- should I delete it – you can if you want to, but how could you call yourself done ? Did you feel like a kid but still enjoying playing it ? This game is for everyone, period. Run, collect coins, go further, and unlock other characters and if you are the fan, you can also download wallpapers right on your device such as iPhone under the photo gallery.
• Help, I am collecting coins and doing power-ups but I keep on losing money and I don’t seem to be able to upgrade top power-ups : Well, did you read the word “Single Use” listed below some of the power-ups under the category “Utilities” ? Those are for one time use. I recommend that you finish upgrading the top five before doing anything else if you want a lot of coins to follow your way.
• I have never visited Temples, but why do monkey’s chase ? : Well in many Temples be it Hindus or Buddhist Temples or any other religions, offering of fruits is common during pray and monkeys love fruits specially banana. The idea behind the game is why not add a little bit of something to drag you, some character, if you stumble or hit an object or you started running slow ? For a temple, monkey fits perfectly and you are running away from these hungry banana. Although, I have no clue why they are chasing you, but I think you probably didn’t feed them well or you are hungry and you have a banana in your back pocket ! If you throw it, more monkeys will chase you. Just kidding. While visiting a temple in Kathmandu, Nepal, a women who had carried a bunches of fruits in one of her bag was crying and waiting for the monkey who took everything and could be seen up in a roof of a house. The monkey had carried her entire bag which contained purpose with some money. The locals did everything they could, there was a huge crowd all trying to help but in stall. Suddenly when the monkey ate one of the banana from the bag, he threw the entire content, purse, bags and other fruits as well and the lady walked home happy. So there is the answer to your question, why are monkey chasing people in a temple ? Well, they do it for fun sometime – for we humans have actually destroyed many of  the forests and they are finding it harder and harder to make their living and what better place to stay than in a temple area where you don’t even have to climb a banana tree ? Just snatch it from someone who has it only for himself. If you do share, be careful, lay it down somewhere a bit further away and they will take the banana and walk away.
• Help me, I am playing this game every day, every minutes. I just can’t put it down. Answer : well, well, well, I guess you are hooked, this is what’s called the drug game; highly addictive. Forgive me for the word drug there, but if you love to run and take part in the challenge of becoming the world’s fastest runner, there is no other better app. My answer to you is : Ok, so you can’t put it down. Rest for a while with other games than. There are games which are slightly similar in nature so give them a try and here they are : (a) Lane Splitter (b) Doodle Jump (c) Jump Pack (d) Fruit Ninja (e)  Ninja Fishing and for more, use the category feature of Games as found in your AppStore Browser. Still having problem putting it down, then Hit that SAFARI Internet browser Icon from Iphone or Ipad, then, type “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and before that, please check all the homework being done!

Have fun and always remember your ratings, reviews help developers do better – so don’t be shy, rate and give your reviews and sure enough, request what you would like to see in Temple Run 2.0 — perhaps the version in many of dreams!

EA isn’t to be blamed ? Come on now!

With so much improvements in a game that had version number as old as 09?

If your firewall is preventing you from playing games online, EA is wrong, you are right for you have given every single files that EA stores in your hard disk to  “Inbound” and “Outbound” FULL in in your firewall settings.  Aha. You just got the screen and you are ready to see if the search is going to bring anyone, oh no! it said, opponent found and all of a suddent it said connection to the opponent is dropped (which should be otherwise, connectiion from your opponent got dropped. To findout why ? I played this game on PC tweaking this and that and still get the same result and having seen online custom matches and how many users are online everyday and during peak hours and where they really are from your PC with signal strength; I have come to the conclusion that rarely FIFA is nothing in the U.S. but it’s a big business else where.

Where FIFA 12 is more popular than in the U.S NFL don’t be sad as both have bitter stories in this post.

Well, I blame you first for loving your so called “more ads, more commercial, more breaks, more challenges, and more scores, more things to buy T-shirts and craps for a game that’s played once a year and cheering up for a team such as G-bay or X-bay who now lost, omg, i was watching all their games form 1st to the last. So there is no difference in NFL and FIFA, really! If you have good defense, you can actually win a superbowl. Amnd your defence could have a belly three times the size of their body weight. Such fat would help protect once also bounce the incoming runner. Do we see something similar in FIFA ? No, because the freaking game has any pause for you to make money such as 2 minutes warning, 2 minutess challenge during which you TV and all could enjoy watching nearly naked commercials from companies you don’t even love – go daddy! I love it becuase the name is so sweet…. go… go… gooo. better catch that ball and as for touch touch down, i thought you were suppose to be over when you get to the  field, there is way too many rules in NFL. Wonder why ? Gives brodcasters to push another commercials and for many grab another bear. Thinking of watching any FIFA games, you gotta be right on your toes. Yeah, scores are low. But they don’t come with huge belly defenders and nor can you use entire body like in NFL; even foot ?

The guy having not known what my hat had written in front and also at the back, goes upto the restaurant TV and watches match with Denver vs Houston the latest NFL 2012, that’s like a week ago.

Sorry DEN won. Guy was not happy at all. But he was happy with my hat which was U.S. National Soccer Team Houston Dynamo. I think I confused him or he thinks I am really wearing a NFL hat ? God help him please

• If you say you love soccer, and you are a man, everyone tells you, right here in the U.S., you are a girl – or something like, for example, that’s a girl’s game. Don’t get offended, just tell them, U.S. team could go further, broadcasters would be more interested if had more seasons, more leages in this beautiful country, but youcan’t digest it can you? You love to speak of rights of Gay, Lesbo, but what about the rights of games themselves ?
• As for EA’s game FIFA 12, don’t be fooled, it wasn’t created for American users in mind. It was for the other 90% of the market. So if you are trying to play online, expect a lot of crash

I love both games, NFL and the American Soccer or football called by the world. But I hate it when I buy something from EA, I don’t think twice.

Will my online play work; at the moment virtually impossible or waiting hours to be connected with someone at the other end of the world ? If you live in UK or else where FIFA is for you.

Don’t get FIFA 13 if you love to play online and it when it comes out, US, Football/Soccer in U.S. Remains untouchable and those who are interested in this game are never called “Girls”

EA  – Update your game, give it free to all U.S. Users who are called “Girls” just because they love Soccer. And as for brave U.S.  women soccer teams, give them trophies for doing what lazy soccer players have yet to do – go beyond the expectation of many.

P E A C E   O U T !

Apple, SONY, Nintendo, Microsoft and many others in Gaming Industry could be waiting a month or two just to unveil  their newest gaming device, be it mobile or dedicated console device – a thought  that goes into many  people; specifically into the heads of hardcore gamers like myself.

So, we’ve the Ecstasy in every January of a new year.

Should I wait, or buy what’s available now. My answer is at the end. Zombies freak me out and when I sleep, for all those companies become one and they chase me. When I wake-up, I find myself a live. Oh my lord. I hope I am not the only one who has weird dream like this. I mean Zombies chasing me in my dream – poor thing, I get less sleep than many of you, believe me. My dreams aside, getting to the point now.

Gamers Have Ecstasy in January!

Simply put, January, being the 1st month of a new year, everyone’s have huge expectation on everything. Some have mind-boggling problem just to decide on a device to play games; a new device or old device only to  start playing games.

How would you like to try out the most talked about console; VITA by SONY with the latest version of the game called UNCHARTED 4 ?  Will both game and the console make you bankrupt ?

Or if you a fan of Soccer, would VITA love FIFA, or would you love VITA for FIFA because the double touch controls and dual digital sticks (right and left) actually gave you something other devices didn’t ?

Gamers love to play games — who can possibly delete that sentence ?

We love playing games. Some are gamers, some are casual gamers, some are hardcore – games mean more than news to them.

Gaming market pretty much rules a huge portion of the Internet and is certainly takes a good part of  economy’s pie chart.

Not to prove you or anyone else, ask any kid what he or she would like for birthday or Christmas. NINTENDO, PSP 3000 or PlayStation or now VITA could be their answer, oh yes, Ipod, Ipad, Ipad3 and Iphone would also be there before them.  As someone who is responsible to take care your kids, will you have the budget to give him or her or she wishes or should you ?  If you are a gamer yourself, you will probably get one for yourself before giving one to anyone. Next time when you are in Walmart, stand on the gaming section for about 30 minutes, you will probably become a gamer soon.

Games can be addictive, extremely entertaining, and educational — it’s fair to so, Games are good when played wisely. There are 24/7 games, playing all sorts of games at home, drinking Energy Drinks, poking their eyes just to keep themselves awake, and even puching each other because one resumed while the other wait to take break in bathroom. Seriously. Fights can erupt from nothing, but a game; simply because games have become so real that they live. I actaully dream of being inside a game, inside an Iphone, inside a PC, now inside a FIFA game. My problem is, I lose a lot. If I win a lot, may be I would have a good night sleep. I am not worried because, it’s not only me, there are so many dreams out there, at least I am dreaming. My body is working. That’s a good sign, isn’t it ?

For Kids – There are some great games for kids which can help them learn even help with their school subjects or improve their personality, or improve their brain power,  and what have you…
Games are beneficial to kids to teens to adults.

Games also help reduce stress.  As a Gamer myself, I write way too much about the goodness of Games, but, I won’t forget quotes from old folk which does ring in my ears–

“Eat too much sugar, it will taste like a bitter squash” . Who can argue with words from people who have seen enough of this world before us ?

In or around January, for hardcore gamers, they have both to win or lose. They will throw money on anything, get whatever they can and start playing, and when the new devices come, they will add to their collection and showcase as they play. Hardcore gamers don’t really care about how much it costs to buy even a single game, don’t even compare if a game would be cheaper if played on a different device. The only thing they might do when money runs out would be sleep in their car, if bank takes their home.

As for newbie, just getting into the gaming system, finding the perfect gaming device can be challenging as they are bombarded with news about upcoming devices;  should I stay or should go ? If I stay, perhaps I might afford a much better gaming device ? and If go, I could start playing now instead of waiting. If you are planning on waiting, is someone pushing you, your own greed, or competition among friends, or you just have money for multiple devices and you really don’t care if you get this or that.

My thoughts; wait for a few months. Do other things if your thoughts of games have yet not become actual brain cells!\

Reports from every research company out there tells us something about the future. More and more of us will be using  our mobile devices to purchase online, play games, or socialize and do more than make phone calls.

Is the future of gaming is on mobile devices ? If so, invest on a good smart phone, there are amazing games and they are cheaper than for other devices.

Another interesting fact about mobile games is; they seem to have frequent updates so consumers are benefited with more levels in games or better graphics, and should I even mention their price. Take a look at the  Android Market or Windows Market or App Store from your Mobile Device. Cost of playing a game is nearly 500% cheaper than playing from other devices.  Worried that graphics aren’t up-to your expectation, you probably haven’t played the right games then. Have you already become a hardcore gamer and want all sorts of devices hanging in your belts and pockets ? Well, what more can I say, just read on.

Ipod and Iphone

Pictured above, sketches of  both iPhone and iPod. Very tempting to throw some money at them in return for some good times; games and applications at a fraction of cost.

Will PC games be history soon ? I have not listed the photo of another great phone by Samsung, Galaxy. It also packs punch and if you are worried about small screen of Iphone, you will love Samsung and also HTC’s version run by Android OS. Games run just as they would run on iPhone, so you have nothing to worry about. I have seen people carrying all sorts of smart phones. Wonder if they too have become hardcore gamers or carry multiple phones just to show off ? I doubt it; gamers can never have too much of anything.

Future seems to be mobile; and It’s possible for mobile devices to come with larger screen, faster processor and increased pixels and better battery life.

Are you new to Apple and want to be a hardcore gamer?  Try installing these games and see if you run out of space but have hours of  fun. Here we go: FIFA 12, Real Soccer 12, 2010 Africa Soccer, ProEvolution Soccer 12, Modern Combat 3, Modern Combat Brothers in Pearl, Brothers in Arsm 2, Sandstorm, Badfield Bad Company 2, Ganstar Rio, Grand Theft 3, Infinity Blade 2, X-Plane-4g, Tiger 12, Real Racing 2, RC Plane 2, Hot Pursuit, NBA Jam, MX Mayhem, 2XL SX HD, Moterbike GP, HC Dirt Bike, Real Tennis, Hit Tennis 2, TableTannis, Flick Golf, Golf Extreme, Pool Bar, Cover Orange, by now you probably have 100MB left on your 16 Ipone 4. I would save that much just in-case you would like to take some photos or have a few songs. etc.

For those having Iphone 4 and deleting Apps day by day just to figure out how much space would be left,  add another device, PSP 3000 or wait for VITA or even iPod Latest generation could be a solution.

If you are not waiting for PSP VITA thinking cost of games for SONY will be higher, then grab Iphone 4 or Ipod 4 having 64G Hard Disk. That way, you will always be a gamer, with lots of games you can hold and never have to cry as you delete your game to take a picture of your girlfirend.

If you can’t wait, do what makes you happy. But many people are simply waiting at this moment in time.

Another device in the line PSP 3000 :  PSP 3000 is often sold as bundled such as Sports Pack or Racing Pack, or can be purchased alone (The Core Pack)  is a great portable gaming device which also offers you the ability to listen to music and watch movies and it also has WIFI so you can browse  Internet at WIFI Hot Spots.  It’s not cheap and if you add my recommended memory chip 16 Gor 32G Stick Duo Pro Memory Card, and buy one or two games, you’ve are already spent well over $200 dollars. Later if you become hardcore gamer, cost of games will make your wallet thinner and thinner. That’s the draw back of this device, apart from that, still among the best portable gaming device. Could you wait to see if VITA would be better or Ipad 3 or Iphone 5 ?

Sony is  offering of VITA to US soon, from advertisement, it looks amazing : Dual touch control (Front and Back), and lot of buttons on front, and even supporting 3G, will you be getting this and making phone calls too ?

Could this be the for hardcore gamers, smart phone with games to play ?

It has WIFI, could this be an indication that you will be downloading games from SONY’s Store and their price wont’ be higher than Apple’s App Store? Something different than PSP 3000 where you must use either UMD Disks, and purchase games that can be downloaded from their store and kept on the Memory Card but games aren’t cheap – way too expensive.

SONY’s VITA game could be even more expensive. If so, it will have little chance to win over Apple’s market in games, unless VITA provides experience that of a PlayStation or XBOX.

SONY has to do something not only for hardcore gamers but also to bring others into this category, and one way is to, make games affordable, since users have already invested on VITA which comes with many flavors such as 3G, none 3G, 3G and WIFI, WIFI alone, and not to mention the built in hard disk size. We are calculating about $400 to $500 for this device — money enough to buy a good laptop.  Price isn’t really expensive, it’s in the line of mobile phones by Apple. If SONY Wants to win, it would be by the love of American here at home, for they have always loved Japanese products be it expensive or not, but in this tough economy, sales in volume means more than sales in less volume. Let us home games won’t be expensive than PSP 3000 ones.

If you have Iphone, I wrote earlier, upgrade or buy one with higher capacity drive. if you are eligible for upgrade, then upgrade your Iphone 4 to Iphone 4s. But you can wait, just because you are eligible doesn’t mean you can’t wait for a few months.

If you can’t upgrade,  be prepared to throw $800  for the 64G Iphone 4s with a two year contract. I don’t recommend anything less for a hardcore gamer.

If you add about a hundred or so to that amount, you could actually get an Apple product like Mac. Decide yourself. What you want in life ?

You could also get an Ipad. There is enough rumor that Apple will surprise the world soon with a new Ipad 3, would you like to get it. It would have bigger screen and what more would a hardcore gamer want ?

If you love to rush, do it

Many hardcore gamers cant’ have enough. They like to play certain games on one device, and the some on others.

It seems like you have money, if you already have Apple, then get a Mango!

Sony’s double touch innovation, a costly device, be prepare to have many heads turn towards you!

Thanks to the latest Operating System by Apple — OS 5.0.1 (as of Jan 8 2012), users can view, browse and search within a PDF File or Electronic Publications with file name .epub. Methods used to open these files on Iphone 4 or other smart phones alike, for Adobe Reader, one needs to be pointing to the .pdf file in Safari.

Apps to get it.

• iBooks by Apple reads both .PDF and .ePUB files.
• Adobe Reader by Adobe, read .PDF Files.

We all know, many of us simply get terrified when our browser takes a little longer than usual, or seems hanged. It doesn’t take long for us to realize that it was actually reading a PDF File and often we point to those files either intentionally or accidentally. Please relax. Some PDF Files can be larger than expected; unlike the web pages such as those written in HTML File Format.

It is believed that PDF Files found under the domain .edu or .org  have more content than those found in other domains.

Perhaps, graduate or under-graduate students publish their class assignments in PDF format and often those files remain on the University Server as a helping tool for new comers.

Such files, provide as a reference as well as a format for these new students who will soon be doing research and creating their own publications written in PDF file format.

You might ask, why publish a file in PDF format?

Well, the PDF reader is free for anyone to use unlike Microsoft Office which isn’t free. If you like you can try Open Office by Sun, which is an alternative to MS Office. I have yet to checkout the latest version, if it does save in PDF Format. Just do it for others!

PDF Files can be created in such a way, you can allow someone to type in, if it’s a form, then he or she can print. Or, work with layouts, improve it, and allow it be printed – perhaps you created a company profile such as activities, or goals, etc. Generally speaking, PDF files are formatted well– should there be a need to print, it’s there right in-front of your nose.

Smart search engines can convert PDF to HTML, such as Google.

Conversion is seen as a tool of accessibility, extended to all users. It’s never a good idea to think that every user who visits your site or offers something from your research, he or she may not have the word processing software. By saving in PDF and giving a PDF document, he she can easily print by getting the free Adobe Reader.

Do PDF Files really have great content ? Many surely do. Even unique and resourceful contents are found in many PDF Files. Are you trying to learn about photography? To use Adobe Reader, it’s not that tricky. If your URL is pointing to a .pdf file in Safari, on top right side of the screen look for a popup message, “Read this using Adobe Reader?”. if you have not installed the reader, there won’t be such message. So install it, it’s free and getting it from App Store is a piece of cake.

Depending on your taste use what makes you comfortable. I have seen users with usage on both the Apps; Adobe Reader and iBooks tend have similar purpose. Personally I find features in Adobe Reader way much better than those found in iBooks.

Solute Adobe and Apple for PDF reading capability from their App. Apps like these add productivity, provide ways to learn more than what basic web would offer using plain content in .php or .html — in general.

I have learned a lot from PDF files, both have proven to me that learning through PDF files or reading digital book via iBooks; is fun, easy like a piece of cake and every second of your time is used for a good purpose, reading books isn’t the same as playing game. What have you learned today?

FIFA 12 by Electronic Arts

For Electronics Arts – (EA), FIFA is like a world cup, or rather blackfriday. If it can sell FIFA, a  Soccer game, EA believes that it has climbed Mt. Everest. Every year, around October, EA releases a new version of FIFA for all sorts of devices. So this year, it has the FIFA 12 for PC and now porting to PSP 3000, VITA, Play Station, and to your beautiful Iphone with awesome game play, touch controls and retina display with great graphics and animations such as rain, snow, etc. More features come with a file size well over 1 Giga. You can login for free with ORIGIN to take part on daily challenge. While Developers might be busy for making this game both local; play via bluetooth with your friend, or play directly over cellular data or WIFI with anyone online. To get started, I suggest you put the FIFA in Semi-Pro, practice, double tap on the screen and see what happens, and don’t break the screen. I gave my phone to a friend, he went crazy over the buttons while playing a manager mode, he kept playing as if this Iphone 4 is the real soccer playground. His thumbs were hitting the screen like his feet was kicking a ball. I was terrified….. Is the screen gonna break anytime ?

The only way to be best at is, play from low level to World Class, learn to pass, make corners and take free kicks and so on. Manager mode is probably the best option to go as you learn how hard it can be to become a manager. As you progress, remember to put some funds in all areas be it Medical Staff or Scouts and take some break from the manager mode, schedule the team go for a practice etc.  This really helps keep the team’s moral and you got nothing to lose, it’s just a practice — later it will have you become a great “World Cup” Manager. One thing you will love about FIFA 12 is the hint; are you making way too many goals, it will suggest you to increase the difficulty.  That’s a sign that you are doing really really well. Start from Beginner to Armature to Professional World Class. What you will hate; “commentary that say’s this is such a great moment to take free kick, this is dangerous, anything can happen”. I guess the programming got a bit smart here picking the commentary word without knowing where the free kick is about to take place; it’s at the other end  of the field and this free kick will be for your friend somewhere at the other end. Can you really score. Commentary goes, “Players like these are really good at taking shots from here. This is dangerous. No way!”

Yesterday I talked about In-App Purchase, remember? This one has too. You can spend money here in Manager mode if you run out. Now don’t just blame this game. How outragious can another soccer game be, you can spend as much $99 In App Purchase there, for what? REAL SOCCER 12 by GAMELOFT

Gameloft sounds like makers of mobile game mainly in shooting, arcade and action genre. Did you finish your FPS (First Person Shooting Game) Modern Combat 3 : Fall Nation ? or Gangstar Rio–a game that seems like GTA 3?  Rio has it’s own unique place in App Store and comparing it to GTA 3 does not do justice for its great graphics and controls.

If there is no competition in soccer game, EA would be Microsoft to everyone. By having other companies involved, there is competition and this benefits users the most.

Why you will like Real Soccer 12 ?

• If you’ve played the earlier version Real Soccer 11, you will notice much has been improved here, IU, graphics, camera mode. I just got it a while back for I love every taste of Soccer dishes. So, please let me know if I need to eat another dish. Someone is surely cooking even as we speak.
• Although it’s a paid App, there is always one or two annoying Ad in this one just like the FIFA 12. Even after you have downloaded the game or used it. These days, to inform users, many paid Apps, push texts or Banner notifications right on the game screen -  simply a marketing technique to sell new or old game and also to inform users of their games which might be on sale and you wouldn’t know about it. So its’ good that they inform us. Like FIFA 12, this one also has commentary which is great. Graphics are stunning. There are lots of camera used here to show players in various potition. For example, just before game starts, there is bottom camera showing player holding the ball with one feet and next to him is his friend. Touch, pass and you are playing the game. Tap to switch to another player. When you don’t have the ball, press and hold the pass button for simple defense attack. Practice a lot here just like you would for FIFA 12 and later you will also be hooked with this one.
• Coming late into the field, Gameloft has made a huge improvement in totality. Love Soccer? Get it and play. There are times, one soccer game is never enough.
• Unlike FIFA and the one I am going to discuss below, Gameloft seems to use the game to make some money -  there are so many in-app purchase, I forgot. If you hate soccer, play the American Football (which by the way, has no In App Purchase, wonder why? May be FIFA is thinking of boosting the App to 1Gigabyte in file size from mere 200 to 300MB or a little more for Real Soccer 12.

Pro Evolution Soccer 12

• Did I hear you say, it’s so easy to make goals from the Corner with this game! You are right. It still remains the same. Graphics could have been improved here but still better than 11 version. Touch control gets jammed at times so instead of passing, you might get a red card, so don’t rush with buttons. Relax and enjoy this fine game by KONAMI.
• Without update for alternative camera view, and fixing control lags, this one falls short of Real Soccer 12 but the hardcore Pro Evolution Fans won’t settle for #1 position for their beloved game.
• During my time of installation, this soccer game was free. I activated leagues. I played and deleted this game to make some room. Worried how I would get my money back. I installed the free version, went to option and clicked the restore my purchase. It did everything. Back to what it was.
• Simple, fast passed, easy to play game, worth very cent. Get it while its cheap, well, get it if you are a Soccer Fanatic.

FLICK SOCCER by FULL FAT

• Do you find yourself loving just kicking and scoring points or let me put it this way, are you the world’s number free kick taker ? This is your game. Inspired from two great golf games Flick Golf and Flick Golf Extreme, Full Fat has given Soccer fans a chance to make as many goals as one can using their Finger.
• Simply slice the ball towards the net and count your points, goals.  Don’t think it’s going to be a piece of cake. At first, one or two players might be there to block your shot, but later, it will get crazy. How is your finger for a goal with five men in front all trying to block your goal. With right angle, power of slice, you can become the kick taker for any team in the world! Yeah!
• It’s a game for soccer lovers, grab it, because you won’t regret it.

• FIFA 11 by EA - terrible graphic, players look tiny, and controls lag here, and there are few stadiums.
• World Cup South Africa by EA – If you love world cup, play this until the new one comes out. Fixtures are the real ones as they were in Africa World cup. What’s the FUN? Pick your team and see if you can get to Quarter Final or Final. It’s highly enjoyable game. In fact, you will love this game more than FIFA 11 by EA
• Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 – KONAMI offers another easy to play and hours of fun-a game for Soccer fan with a lot of cups and leagues to keep you busy. If you compare this vs the new one, you will notice a few difference in quality and use of touch controls, that’s pretty much what the new version is all about.
• Real Soccer 11 – Gameloft pushed this one to the world and said, “You think you can omit us from the genere?” And it could not have been put in different form. Although the game physic isn’t upto many of the other games, it was their offering and it was a great begining for Gameloft. They improved this game to Real Soccer 12, that makes you go double Wows. Download, play and have fun.
• Chop Chop Soccer – These days, Chop Chop Sells Good and It’s Enjoyable. Arcade Soccer game. Move your funny character and score goals. Game seems to be designed by those who like to score as many as 10 goals in a game. Go read reviews, if it’s free get it and warning ! It’s highly addictive; easy to play games are hard to put down.

Conclusion :

There is always going to be versions after version. We always ask ourselves, why don’t they update even a few tweaks here and there instead of releasing a new one with new price tag; since most updates are always free and developers don’t make money from updates. To keep users happy and grow your fans or the market, update of existing products are carried out. Question is Will we see some update of FIFA 12 or Real Soccer 12 or Pro Evolution Soccer 12, all are equally worth playing games. Real winner here is clearly FIFA 12, but don’t leave out the other two; huge update could be on their way to take them to the top.

In-App Purchases– a rapidly growing  trend in mobile apps. Give them free or a paid App, at affordable price, later we will hook them back to get more of their money, that’s what In-App Purchase is defined; at least in Developers prospective.

It tells a lot about the future of app developers for OS devices like iPhone 4, iPad 2, and even Mac. With no taste of android market, I would assume it would follow similar strategies by their developers. 

Give users free Apps, then let them use; buy clothes or coins or what have you– to enjoy their apps. Later as they get stuck, get hooked with our App, money will follow via our beautifully designed In-App Purchase that developers often name STORE inside their App navigation screens. 

For example, could an in app purchase as much as $99 as seen on Ace Casino App, and buy 75000 coins in temple run some 40 bucks in Temple Run, make some sense to this topic?

Now both Apps are among thousands if not hundreds which are absolutely FREE to download and start using. Does those numbers say something about trends of maintaining regular earnings and remain in apple’s AppStore’s top Grossing chart? After all, any top chart helps and should we mention the incoming revenue helping developers too?

It’s not only free apps but paid apps do Cary something similar. Take the Infinity Blade 1 and 2 for example or FIFA 12 in Manager mode. Master a sword playing a game or spend money from your dad or mom’s account or is it your own money? Are you so dreamed of becoming a food ball manager and your In-App Purchase in FIFA 12 App will get you there to your dram job? Really? Did you forget how hard you worked for your money or has the games taken over your life, so you really don’t care.  If Apps have taken over your normal life,  welcome to In-App Purchase!

Certain groups of user may see In-app purchase as a a rip off, instead of getting a fully paid app; get it once and you’ll have nothing to pay later; to enjoy the levels and full features of a game or an App. 

Those who love spending week after week via the In-App purchase, are they really gaining experience from an App or money is just another “no worries” thing?   Or do you often wish there were limits enforced before you see your  Dad crying having seen his bank statements?

A while back, what I thought was one of the most beautifully designed game Glass Tower 2, went with an update. It ruined all those who paid for it, because the same app comes with ads after update? It’s not users to be blamed for there was no mention of Ads being the update and rarely do apps update provide in depth information on what’s being updated, for example, update page does not even mention how much file size changed-forcing those with limited space to delete other apps only to update and find some apps with first screen popup ads and more features of inapp-purchase. Forcing users to delete app? Yes, not everyone has the 64 gig iPad or iPhone. For Apple, it’s a good business, for you have clearly made your mark–want quality Apps with Gigabytes in size? Then, bite another Apple. 

Should we need more example, even the highly celebrated game of all type has Eagle you are recommended at every screen popup? Ha? How could you easily forget beloved Angry Birds offered in various flavors? Confused? You probably are playing it right now; kill those Pigs hidden in beautiful houses but breakable! Need help to finish all levels you are again reminded of the very same topic; fish in for some cash to get that Eagle Bird! 

If you are those among us who hate inapp-purchase, you can disable this feature on your iPhone 4 and I hope same goes to your iPad 2? Search google on how to disable them.

Future might be free for mobile Apps, but for Dads n Mom it’s going to be a job, enforce restrictions on devices using In-app purchase feature.

Enjoy games as they are meant to be, spend more when you can or when you know the world is going to end!! 

Have more than you eat? Donate to hungry kids who have no meals to eat tonight!! Really rich ha? Then donate to the developer of an App!

But hang in there, Donate sounds awesome. Even to give to developers. 

Will some Apps carry Donate buttons to drive future towards that direction? That might be a wonderful  idea but it will surely not replace the hungry Economy.

 In-App purchase to replace with “Donate” may happen if users get fed up!

So, think twice before you get a free app, some may have the features we talked here but not mentioned in their Description and while others may charge you a subscription fee added to your iTunes account or tapped to your wireless Bill?

Enjoy games but play nicely

My gear that costs me nearly 2 grand went blue and thought it was a hardware failure. Asking Dell for support is throwing another money. I read this and that and finally found out a way to figure this out.

First, let me describe the problem.

When I went to Control Panel -> Sounds. I could not find any recording devices (since Dell XPS L502X has built in Microphone that records amazing clarity, and how can it go bad out of the blue ? I simply did not show up on my devices listings. Forums at Microsoft lead me to Dell’s Support Ticket, a place where you put your money to get help after the service period has expired.

Here is what you can do. Please try.

First, make sure you know which XPS you have. Right click on your My Computer and note down the XPS, it should read something like the title

XPS L502X if that is yours. Then Google it adding R292779.exe (Just save the file, and please, again please, do not DOWNLOAD such executable files from any other source except from DELL) If you haven’t found the link, here it is for this model.

Here is the URL, if by any chance URL has changed or does not exist anymore, you can always go to Dell, Support and Search for this file.

File is about 100MB or so, give it a few minutes until it downloads fully. Close all applications, including browser. Run this program. It is a zip file, extracts somewhere in order to install High Def Real Tek.. Audio Drivers etc. So don’t rush. Follow the on screen instructions. It will ask you restart the PC. Do so.

Then fireup your webcam and record your video. See if you can record your video with audio now! You should!

Apple does a great job, at least the folks who check their games and those that pays well (gross earnings, I guess?) as well as how a game make users feel good about themselves or kill a lot of time doing nothing, or spend their wonderful time on a device, or socializing with friends as they touch or slice their beautiful Iphone.

What makes many wonder is that if you are the BOSS, in this case, Apple, would you want to list one of your App as the App of the year for 2011 ?

It depends. If the app is really really good, why not ?

But are there other great apps missing in the list or was this just a thing like a powerball or would it better to encourage the newcomers instead of listing the same, like many of those who did got 2010 rewinds ?

Appl sings at its’ app called Garageband – no dobbut is an awesome by reading it. I am not going to pay to Apple, no more. But I will pay even more to other developers. Paying to apple for an app makes me think like why? I already paid you for your phone right ? More? Come one now!!!

App developed by Apple and it’s in the 2011 Honor ? Well, who is going to clap for them. I am kind of in a mood to say, just a few folks inside the office?

But, as an iphone user for the last 4 years or so, I find many games are neglected or simply got slipped. Could it be possible that they never made more money for Apple through inapp Purchase. It doesn’t take much to undersand today’s games, give them FREE and then have so called inbuilt app purchase, some of which are outragesly prices like $99. Are you kidding a kid who has a phone form a dad or a kidding dad? Mind you though, we all know, it only takes a click to lose that $99 in no time. And hearing news about refunds are rare. So, is apple 2011 a lesson that build apps so Apple can make more money, or build Apps that costs less for users but gives them great game play or if it’s utility, makes it a great app. What ever is in the mind of Apple. It’s hard to take a side or not, because, same goes to SONY Store. Even worse here. Try buying PSP games or anything. Once you are logged into the PlaystationNetwork TM, and when you hit the add to cart button, it won’t even ask you if you really really want to buy it. It will automatically take your money. So, App sellers have one thing in mind, how can i make it faster for people to into their wallet. Hope the 2012 rewind brings new and innovative apps, instead of the same old games time and again.

Idea? Let the users vote which App should be in 2012 Remind. Not some Gurus who never plays more than a few games. Please do not put a boxing glove, there are well over 500 or more apps on my PC and growing, cause I love games, to play and checkout their features.
