iPod 5th Generation – a budget choice to be with Apple and more
Jan 7, 2013 Computer and Internet Leave a comment
Are you scared by the fact of of $100 or so monthly bill from AT&T for your new iPhone 5, for you love it because of it’s screen size and faster processor over the iPhone 4s ? Well, how about some alternatives that could save you a lot yet still let you enjoy a pie from Apple.
Here is what I am expecting you are expecting:
A portable mobile gaming and music player combined with a phone so you can stay in touch without having to check news and gossips at sites like Facebook once in a while knowing that you have a WIFI at home from your cable or DSL line.
Solution ?
- If you owned previous iOS Devices such as iPhone 4, it’s not a bad idea to stay with Apple since many of the games you bought can be installed on your new device without having to pay extra, which means, more money in your pocket. If not, try NEXUS 4, another great alternative that will have you hold just one device instead of two as recommend by this post. Now that too will be costly, It is above $300 grand for gamers, as per my view. If you don’t own the i series, then perhaps quit this post, go google for other devices that would save you money, otherwise, hang in here.
- Buy iPod 5th generation, it has the same processor as iPhone 4S but bigger size, much better display (RETINA) compared to even the bigger screen sized iPAD MINI and also has a good price for 32G or 64G as compared to iPAD Mini.
- Then, grab any old phones you might have or get the cheapest phone from your local store such as Walmart and get the minimum package. If you so desire, there are packages that start as low as $30 to $50 bucks, some with limited Internet Access if that is what you want. If you want to just make calls, get one that just does what you need. Who really needs to check this or that while on go and when you are actually working ? Even if you desire, with iPod 5th generation, you will be able to get online at work, or at a coffees shop so you can actually say to the phone companies who make a lot of money by putting a bar on smart phones with a term called bricks but in their definition–”Data Plan” (A smart phone is treated like as if it needs to be told how much data it should use. Really ?)
Now, carry that $30 or something similar phone, I call it, pay as you go, and you can drop it as many times as you want and also carry your media player or rather a fancy new iPhone 5, but without the capability to make calls, and it’s really the iPod 5th Generation which has the same screen size of iPhone 5 and pretty much 90% o the apps out there for iPhone will run even better on your iPod touch than your older devices.
By doing this, you will be saving a lot of money if you want to be with Apple. If you are going to be hooked with a company like AT&T with iPhone 5, in the U.S., you could save as much as Two Thousand dollar or more over the course of two years, something you could use it in future for other products to buy.
In pictures, here you go:
To Be with Apple on a budget :
iPod 5th Generation and any pay as you go phone
To be with Apple or not,
Nexus 4. – No contract. Buy anything pay as you go cards and you carry only one device. The only con is, if you’ve had the games or apps purchased from apple on your older iOS Phones, you will be losing a- lot– purchase them again from Google Play.
That simply says it enough.
If you hate texts, here are the options for budget mobile at the lowest cost possible:
Option 1

Get Nexus 4 and move away from apple or carry both devices, one from apple.
Option 2

Do not leave Apple but get iPod touch 5th Generation and a second cheap phone
Saving money has never been easier now.
Howdy, thanks for landing on this blog, I thought you would never find me.
